Learn about the importance of protecting your creative works when starting or growing your business and learn how to access free resources available from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, America’s Innovation Agency. NaThanya Ferguson is the manager of the USPTO’s Office of Innovation Outreach, which focuses on outreach to independent inventors, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and underserved communities of innovators across America. Ms. Ferguson joined the USPTO in 1989. During her 32-year tenure at the agency, she has worked as a contracting officer representative, management and program analyst, senior advisor, strategic planning project manager for the Office of the Commissioner for Patents, and project manager for USPTO’s Council of Inclusive Innovation (CI2). Ms. Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business and management from Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s Certificate in project management from Management Concepts and Regis University.
